  • (A)味噌 : 大さじ1
  • (A)コチュジャン : 大さじ2
  • ごま油 : 適量
  • Salt and pepper (for bean sprouts) : 適量
  • 塩胡椒(下味用) : 適量

Procedure

  1. 1) 下準備をする 01:02

    Place the tteokbokki in a bowl and soak in enough water to cover (not listed in ingredients).
    Wash the garlic sprouts thoroughly and cut them in half.
    Wash Kujo green onions thoroughly, remove the roots, and cut diagonally.
    Wash the bean sprouts with water and drain.
    Mix (A) together to make the sauce.

    Heat a frying pan, add sesame oil, fry the bean sprouts over high heat for about 30 seconds, and sprinkle with salt and pepper (for the bean sprouts).
    Remove to a plate for serving.

    Heat the frying pan from step 2 over medium heat and stir-fry the pork belly.
    When both sides are browned, add the garlic sprouts and drained tteokbokki and fry for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Add Kujo green onions, stir-fry lightly, and place on top of the bean sprouts from step 2.

・It has a good balance of sweetness, umami, and spiciness, and goes well with rice and alcohol. If you like a sweeter flavor, increase the amount of sugar to 1 tablespoon.
・If you like, we recommend adding black pepper and roasted sesame seeds at the end. If you want it spicy, you can add Korean chili peppers.
・You don't have to add garlic sprouts or tteokbokki, but you can enjoy a variety of textures by adding all the ingredients in the recipe.
・People on a diet can double the amount of bean sprouts and use them as a substitute for rice.
・The bean sprouts will cook due to residual heat, so you only need to lightly cook them in step 2.
・If you cut Kujo green onions into thick pieces, you can enjoy the flavor of the green onions better and the texture will also be better. It has less spiciness than regular white onions, and becomes sweeter when grilled.
・You can substitute pork belly with offal, pork belly, or chicken thighs. If too much oil comes out in step 3, wipe it off.
