- (B)カレー粉 : 少々
- 片栗粉 : 適量

Prepare the lotus roots

Wash the lotus root well and drain well.
Cut in half lengthwise, then cut into 1-1.5cm wide half-moons. -

Add (A) and rub it into the bag.
Leave it for about 5 minutes. -

鍋に油を入れて、弱火で熱する。
2を半量3の片栗粉に入れて、ボウルを振りながら片栗粉をまぶす。
弱めの中火にし、油の温度が160度ほどになったら、片栗粉をまぶしたれんこんを入れて、3分ほど揚げる。
網を敷いたバットに取り出して油を切る。
鍋の揚げカスを取り除き、残りのれんこんも同様に片栗粉をまぶして、揚げる。 -

お皿に盛り付けて完成。
Point
・Use the lotus roots without peeling them.
・It is best to use a small pot and fry in several batches.
・In step 2, be careful not to rub too hard, as the lotus roots will crack.
・Use curry powder that only contains spices.
・To avoid mistakes, it is recommended to use a thermometer when frying.
- If you don't have a thermometer, add a piece of lotus root sprinkled with potato starch and if it rises quickly, you can tell that the temperature has risen.
