Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly, including the skin, and wipe dry, removing any hairs.
Cut off both ends and cut into 1.5-2cm squares.
Leave it exposed in a container filled with water (not listed) for 5 minutes.
Cut the mochi into 6 to 8 equal pieces. -

Place in a heat-resistant container, cover with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for 4 to 5 minutes.
When a toothpick comes through easily, transfer it to a colander to drain the water.

Spread the salad oil in a frying pan and heat it over medium heat for about 30 seconds.
Add the cut mochi and take it out when it is browned all over.
Add salad oil, lightly fry the sweet potatoes, and remove. -

Turn the heat down to medium-low, add the cut mochi, sweet potato, and black sesame seeds, and simmer everything until it's done.
Point
・The recipe serves 2 to 3 people.
・Use your favorite variety of sweet potato.
・You can also use round rice cakes.
・Rice oil can be used as salad oil.
・Sugar can be replaced with your favorite sugar.
・Both sweet potatoes and rice cakes are hard, so be careful not to injure your hands when cutting.
・If you expose the sweet potatoes to water for too long in step 1, the flavor will be lost, so be careful not to expose them for more than 5 minutes.
・When heating the sweet potatoes in step 2, leave one opening in the plastic wrap to create an opening for air to enter and exit.
・If the mochi is difficult to brown in step 3, increase the heat. It's best to roll the mochi with chopsticks while baking to prevent them from sticking together.
