Peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Transfer to a heat-resistant plastic bag and place on a heat-resistant plate, flatten the potatoes and microwave at 600W for 4 minutes. -

- If the potatoes are not cooked through in step 3, microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
- The flavors of stews soak in as they cool, so if you have time, leaving them to cool a little will make them taste even better.
