Ingredients

Procedure

Prepare the rice cooker

Apply butter to the inner pot of the rice cooker.

Put white sesame oil in a bowl.
Heat in a microwave at 500W for 30-40 seconds to bring the oil temperature to 60-70 degrees.
Sift the cake flour and mix.
Add Sanon Tou (for dough) and mix.
Break the egg and add the yolk.
Place the egg whites in a separate bowl and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Mix the dough with egg yolk.
Add milk in 4 portions and mix each time. -

Point
・ Taiwanese castella recipe made with a rice cooker.

・ Sanon tou may be replaced with sugar.
・ Vegetable oil may be used as a substitute for white sesame oil.
・ By applying butter to the inner pot of the rice cooker in step 1, the dough will not stick. You may use a cooking sheet as a substitute.
・ By warming the white sesame oil in step 1, the cake becomes sticky when mixed with the cake flour and the texture of the finished product improves.
・ Sifting the cake flour in step 2 makes it less likely to become lumpy.
・ By adding sugar in step 2 while the oil is warm, the sugar will dissolve more easily.
・ When using a hand mixer in step 3, sugar may be added all at once.
・ The optimum heating time is 90 to 120 minutes in total in 5 steps.
・ By tapping the inner pot lightly in step 6, it becomes easier to take out the dough.
・ Heating time is not included in the required time.
・ It is delicious whether you eat it while it is warm or cold.
