Wash sweet potatoes well, cut off both ends and cut in half lengthwise.

さつまいもを煮る

フライパンに、さつまいもを切り口を下にして入れ、半分浸かるくらいまで水を入れ、火にかける。
キッチンペーパーで落し蓋をして、沸騰したら弱火で10分間煮る。
裏返して更に10分間煮る。
軟らかくなったことを確認し一旦取り出し、残りのお湯を捨てる。 -

Sprinkle an amount of sugar in a frying pan that is about the same size as the cut end of the sweet potato, and heat over medium heat.
Pour the water (for caramel) over the sugar, and when it dissolves 70-80%, add 2 with the cut side down.
When the water evaporates and the caramel becomes candy-like, turn off the heat.
Serve in a bowl and add butter to complete.
