Wash the onions thoroughly.
Cut off the root and top of the onion.
Make a cross-shaped cut at the root.
Crush the garlic with the back of a knife and remove the skin.
Cut the sausage into bite-sized pieces. -

Place onions in a heatproof bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap and heat in a 600W microwave for about 8 minutes.
Peel the onions. -

Put 2 together with water in a pot.
Add the sausage, (A), and garlic.
Heat over high heat and bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Point
・Heating time for onions will vary depending on the number and size of onions.
・We use 4 times more concentrated ago soup stock.
・Agodashi can be substituted with mentsuyu or white soup stock.
・You can omit the microwave heating step in step 1 and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Outdoor spices can be substituted with your favorite spices.
・Use raw garlic.
・In step 3, if the onion heads are sticking out of the soup, cover it with a lid.
・You can finish it off with cheese if you like.
