- Japanese white radish : One

- 片栗粉 : 小さじ1

- (A)みりん : 大さじ3

- (A)あごだし(4倍濃縮) : 小さじ1

Prepare the radish

Cut the radish in half and use a peeler to thickly peel off the skin of the radish.
Cut the daikon radish in half into thirds.
Insert a hidden knife into one side of the radish and use a peeler to make a bevel. -

In a heat-resistant container, mix together the radish, enough water to half-submerge the radish (not listed), sugar, and potato starch.
Cover with plastic wrap and heat in a 600W microwave for 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove the plastic wrap and use a bamboo skewer to check if the daikon is cooked through.
Wash the daikon radish and drain it in a colander.

Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, hide the daikon radish and place the knife side down.
Heat over medium-high heat, cover, and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds on each side.
Gently wipe off excess water and oil with kitchen paper.

Turn up the heat to high and cook while pouring (A) over the radish.
Turn the radish over and cook while pouring (A) onto the radish.

Place the cheese on the radish, cover and bake until the cheese melts.

・When peeling the radish, peel it until you can see the fibers.
- Daikon skin can be reused in salads, kinpira, etc.
・Cut the radish to your desired thickness.

・When removing the wrap, be careful not to burn yourself as it is hot.
・The radish should be heated until it can be pierced with a bamboo skewer.
・Sesame oil can be replaced with olive oil.

・Agodashi can be substituted with mentsuyu or white soup stock.
