Ingredients
- Baumkuchen (Seven-Eleven) : 1 piece
- Maple syrup : About 1 tbsp
- Granulated sugar : About 2 tsp
Time required
15minutes
Procedure
-
1)
Soak Baumkuchen in maple syrup
00:19
Soak Baumkuchen in maple syrup for 5-10 minutes.
-
2)
Put granulated sugar on it
01:00
Place the granulated sugar on the surface soaked with maple syrup so that the granulated sugar is evenly spread over the entire surface.
-
3)
Caramelize
01:30
Caramelize granulated sugar with a burner. When the caramel fluff has settled down a little, add granulated sugar again.
-
4)
Caramelize again
03:06
Caramelize the granulated sugar again with a burner. When the caramel fluff has settled down a little, add granulated sugar again and caramelize it to complete.
Point
・ If there is a part that is not covered with granulated sugar, the burner's fire will directly hit the Baumkuchen and it will burn to black. Heat the granulated sugar so that it catches fire.
・ You can caramelize granulated sugar as often as you like. Recommended about twice. One time gives a light finish, and three to four times gives a caramel presence.
・ If you like, you can eat it with vanilla ice cream.
-Easy because it uses commercially available Baumkuchen.
